Make Clear Calls To Take Action
Missing call to action is probably one of the smallest business website mistakes seen in the board.
The best website user experience should tell, where and how to tell the customer.
- What to do.
- Where to go
- And, how to feel.
- What is the call to action?
- Call to action (or, CTA) will focus visitors on their next step. This is an indication that has been written with the motivational order associated with a link or button.
Use the content that describes the value of your products or services, as well as an attractive phrase that indicates action.
Be very clear with your language.
It is not necessary to be creative with call to action wording.
Take your call simple and briefly. Tell users what to do!
Strong website CTA includes:
- Put in the cart
- get started
- Contact us today
- Sign up now
No Analytics to measure performance
One of the biggest web design mistakes to avoid is not seeing important data behind the use of a website.
Get it: 75% of small business sites do not use the analysis tool to track the performance!
Think of your website as an investment.
To protect this investment, you have to analyze one of the most important things and analyze success and measure success.
This is a simple concept, is not it?
One big advantage of online marketing is the ability to easily test, track and adjust.
You can test and track with the Metrics tool – the most widely used Google Analytics. This tool will provide valuable information about user behavior, and will allow you to set goals to track conversions.
If you have a WordPress website, you will easily be able to install a popular free plugin called MonsterInnsights, which easily connects your site to Google Analytics.
Pair the data from Analytics with a digital ad campaign, and you will be able to target your online marketing specifically to those audiences (and re-targeted) that bring you business.
Weak Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
There is no magic formula to achieve high search engine rankings.
What’s more, high ranking results are definitely not overnight.
Old School SEO was a mix of keywords filled with thin content, and dangerous backlinks (whether trusted or not). Anyone can punish these web design mistakes and lose site authority.
Search engine algorithms have become much smarter than that, and more site-based pricing.
If there are some important things for search engine optimization, here are these:
Focus on Long-Tailed Keywords
Long tail keywords are keywords that are moving toward user searches-another natural language approach.
You will have an easy time ranking for at least keyword phrases, and this will give you more relevant leads.
Instead of “kitchen renovation”, try “What is kitchen renewal cost”.
Seeing the specific user pricing, you can already see important information that you can provide for help in starting a relationship.
Other examples for long tail-oriented keywords can be determined if you do a preliminary search on Google for small keyword phrases (usually known as “head term”).
When looking for information, take a look at the same searches below with regard to the word “kitchen renewal”. After doing a search on Google, you can find them at the bottom of the page.
It is difficult to find contact information
Your business should be the business of everyone!
Customers and customers need to easily contact you.
Most of the times, website owners do not mainly show their phone numbers in the header and footer or on a dedicated contact page.
This is one of the most seen and easiest web design mistakes to avoid.
Make a clear call to take action in the header with a direct phone number (Example: “Call today for a free estimate! 800-555-5555”).
If you do not want to show too much sales in your headers, then a simple “call 800-555-5555” also works … or even just phone numbers.
Customers do not want to work to know how to contact the web.
Reduce clicks, maximize opportunity!
